A message from our Chairman...
On behalf of all our members who competed this weekend in the Le Trec may I thank Liz and Jonathan Slater for being super hosts and allowing us the opportunity to hold this event on their farm, mowing long sweeping grass tracks to drive along and invading their home and garden.
Also a very big thank you to Linda and Ray Godwin who without their brilliant organisation and hard work there would be no competition. Their dedication to going to Wyndolph’s Farm in the last few weeks to do the preparation and their attention to detail made the day run smoothly and gave everybody a good, fun days driving.
Thank you to everyone for your time and effort for such a great weekend.

A message from Ray & Linda...
We would like to thank Liz and Jonathan for a wonderful weekend. Their hospitality and hard work were boundless. Liz even went round on Monday to pick up the markers for us. What a star she is. We could not do any of it without their generosity and enthusiasm.
The catering was superb, the tracks were beautifully mown, the BBQ ran like clockwork with Jeff's expert cooking skills. Our thanks also to the wonderful stewards who worked so hard in the heat. Sandy was our time honoured 'walk section judge' and hazard steward. Brent was our irreplaceable presentation judge and a hazard steward. Sarah-Jayne was a hazard steward and official photographer. Judith was absolutely vital to the whole process and made sure that a fabulous tea was ready and waiting for us all when we dragged ourselves back to base hot, thirsty and exhausted. Everybody picked up something to help clear up, for which Ray was immensely grateful.
The competitors were tremendous. Everyone came with a huge sense of fun and got stuck in. Thank you all for being such good sports and making it a success. The C&WSDC is a great club and it is amazing how much gets done when everybody does a little bit. And a special thank you to all those who offered to help Ray and I put our own things away at the very end. We were fine but the offer was very welcome.
